The Captain has it n good authority (an old salt sending e-mail) that this be the USS Duluth LPD-6, an Amphibious Transport Dock, used to land Marines and equiptment via helo and landing craft. She can carry approximately 900 Marines. Aye, that be somethin' yer don't want poundin' up th' beach at ye if yer a bad guy!
